Frequently Asked Questions
-
Not at all. Partners are always welcome (and encouraged!) to join. It’s a great way for them to learn hands-on comfort measures and breathing techniques they can actually use during the birth.
-
Just yourself and a comfortable space. I bring a full suite of high-quality props, including mats, bolsters, blocks, and calming essential oils.
-
Yes! I’ve expanded my in-home services to include Etobicoke and The Kingsway, ensuring West End families have access to the same high-level, mindful care as Downtown residents.
-
Absolutely. Many of my families in Etobicoke and Toronto choose to split our 120-minute sessions. We might spend the first 60 minutes on movement and pelvic opening, and the second 60 minutes on Childbirth Education topics like "The Golden Hour," advocacy in the birthing room, or practicing hands-on comfort measures with your partner.

es. My background as a Childbirth Educator and experienced Birth Doula means I am highly comfortable working within the parameters set by your medical team at Mount Sinai, Sunnybrook, or St. Joseph’s. For clients on bed rest in Toronto or Etobicoke, we pivot the session entirely to Restorative Yoga, gentle bed-based movements, massage and effleurage, and deep Mindfulness Meditation. We focus on circulation, pelvic floor relaxation, and nervous system regulation to help you stay grounded and calm during a high-stakes time.
-
Every session is bespoke, but I primarily draw from Restorative, Yin and Vinyasa Yoga, infused with Mindfulness Meditation and somatic grounding.
For energy: We might use a gentle Vinyasa flow to build stamina for birth.
For tension: We use Yin-inspired holds to release the deep connective tissues of the hips and low back.
For birth prep: We focus on functional movement, practicing the positions you will actually use during your labour—whether that’s on a birth ball, a peanut ball, or using a rebozo for support.
-
Absolutely. While I support all families, I have a deep passion for the unique journey of multiples. My twin-specialist approach focuses on managing the increased physical load on your body and heart. We use specific propping and bolsters to ensure you are fully supported, focusing on "space-making" movements that provide relief for your ribs and pelvis. We also integrate birth-prep specifically for twin delivery options in the GTA, ensuring you feel empowered regardless of your birth path.
-
This is a major focus of our work together. We use specific movements like The Miles Circuit, gentle inversions, and pelvic mapping to create the most "room in the inn" for your baby. By releasing tension in the psoas and the broad ligament through mindful movement, we encourage the baby to find the most efficient path for birth. This is especially helpful for families in Toronto or Etobicoke who are hoping for a physiological birth.
We can also help to flip breech babies using Spinning Babies techniques, rebozo sifting, and mindful positioning.
